Outdoor
Facilities
We are fortunate enough to be situated on half an acre of land, which means the children have an abundance of room to explore during their outdoor play. From our custom-built climbing frame to our mud kitchen, our sand pit to our workshop, there are just as many learning opportunities for your little one as they explore the outside as there are inside.
We love to explore the outdoors in all weathers, so come rain or shine the children will always have plenty of fresh air.
Outdoor Play Area
We have so much to offer in our outdoor play area with things such as our custom climbing frame, complete with a curly slide, a mud kitchen to allow the children to use their imagination to "cook up" some mucky creations, and our new and improved workshop, filled with plenty of resources to expand the children's imagination and play.
We also have plenty of bikes, scooters and other outdoor equipment to support the children's continuous physical development. We understand children always want to be on the move, so we are continuously looking for new and exciting activities to support this.
However; in extreme weather conditions, we can be found having lots of fun in our Play Barn.
Play Barn
Our Play Barn is undeniably one of the most exciting features within Jumping Jacks. It is a large soft play area complete with a slide and ball pit.
Our Play Barn offers a vibrant indoor soft play area and ball pit, which invites the little ones to dive in and enjoy endless fun while developing their motor skills and socialising with their friends. The slide provides a thrilling experience for adventurous children, encouraging them to climb up and slide down with giggles of joy.
One of the highlights of our Play Barn is the bouncy castle, a favourite among children for its exciting bounce and endless entertainment. Children can jump and bounce to their hearts' content, promoting physical activity and well-being in a safe and supervised environment. At Jumping Jacks, we prioritise fun and safety, ensuring that children have a memorable time full of laughter and play.
Animal Friends
At Jumping Jacks Day Nursery, two adorable donkeys, Willow and Meadow, are beloved members of our family. These friendly donkeys enjoy spending time with the children and have a special affinity for ginger biscuits, which the children love to feed them. Willow and Meadow bring joy and companionship to all who interact with them.
In addition to our wonderful donkeys, we are also home to a flock of sheep here at Jumping Jacks. These gentle creatures add to the natural and nurturing environment of our nursery. The children are invited to observe and learn about the sheep's behaviours, fostering a sense of responsibility and care for animals at a young age.
Polytunnel
We are so proud of our Polytunnel and vegetable plot. As the children are encouraged to plant and tend to the produce this, in turn, provides the children with so many teaching opportunities.
The children gain a better appreciation for healthy foods, whilst also learning about more sustainable practices and obtaining valuable life skills.
As they dig and plant, the children are also developing their motor skills, both fine and gross, as this activity engages their entire body.
The vegetables grown in the plot are used to cook our delicious homemade meals by our resident cook.
