Indoor Facilities

Our nursery consists of 4 rooms:

Baby Room - Ages 12 weeks to approximately 14 months (Non-Walkers)

Pre-Toddler Room - Approximately ages 14 Months to 2 Years (Walkers)

Toddler Room - Ages 2 Years to 3 Years

Pre-School Room - Ages 3 Years to 7 Years

We are a spacious, purpose-built single-level building, ideal for wheelchair access and safety. Each room is fitted with patio doors, great for visibility and transitioning from room to room. Along with CCTV cameras fitted in each room.

All of our rooms are neutrally themed and are continuously being adapted.

All rooms are children are child-led, following the children's lead.

All meals are prepared by our resident cook, often using ingredients organically grown by the children in our polytunnel and vegetable plot.

Baby Room

Our modern, fully equipped home-from-home Baby Room at Jumping Jacks includes a cosy cot room, a convenient nappy changing area, and a handy kitchenette. We are registered with CIW for babies as young as 3 months old, and breastfeeding is always welcomed in our nurturing environment.

Our Baby Room facilities emphasise introducing our youngest children to the experiences, sights and sounds that will help them to develop. They have access to sensory areas and have plenty of space to crawl and learn to walk, which enables them to grow, play and rest comfortably in a cosy and nurturing environment.

Pre-Toddler Room

Step into our Pre-Toddler room and experience an open plan space filled with engaging and enjoyable activities. Reflecting our policy of learning through play, our new curriculum introduced in September 2023 encourages exploration and development in a stimulating environment.

Mealtimes at Jumping Jacks are not just about eating – they are a social event. Children in the Pre-Toddler Room are introduced to miniature tables and chairs, taking the next step from high chairs. Here, little ones are encouraged to feed themselves while being supervised, encouraged, and supported every step of the way.

Toddler Room

At Jumping Jacks, the Toddler Room is designed to be a vibrant and engaging space that caters to the inquisitive nature of young children. We aim to deliver all essentials for toddlers and provide dedicated areas that suit all their interests.

With a focus on fun and creativity, our staff in the Toddler Room organises a variety of energetic and often messy activities. These activities are based on different themed days or the specific interests of the children, ensuring that every day is filled with excitement and learning opportunities.

Our Toddler Room at Jumping Jacks is thoughtfully designed with hygiene in mind, featuring floors free of carpets as it doubles as our designated "toilet training room". As recipients of Flying Start funding, we meet all their requirements, setting a high standard of care and safety. Our Toddler Room stands as a shining example for other nurseries to follow.

Pre-School Room

Our Pre-School Room at Jumping Jacks is designed to be spacious, stimulating and exciting, with a wide range of activities taking place. Children are captivated by new learning experiences each day, fostering a love for exploration and discovery in a safe and nurturing environment.

We love to foster independence amongst the children. With a convenient toilet room located within the space, children can easily access facilities that support their personal care routines. This design element not only promotes healthy habits but also boosts children's confidence and self-sufficiency as they navigate their daily activities.

Our dedicated staff in the Pre-School Room are committed to creating fun-filled and educational days for both full-time nursery attendees and after-school children. With a passion for early childhood education, our team ensures a stimulating environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive.
